Follow the buyer journey

An example: from a spreadsheet to a purchase request

Follow three fictional products from an illustrative source table to article search, quantities and the review step in the interactive product tour.

Excel / CSV product file
Reviewed, searchable catalog
Buyer purchase request
Manager review
A structured request starts a conversation with your team. Stock, commercial terms and fulfillment still need confirmation.

Imagine a supplier with three articles: a bearing, a connector and a valve. The table below represents its starting data. In the public tour, you can find these articles, build a list and simulate the buyer review. The source table and import explanation are illustrative; the tour itself starts with a fixed fictional assortment.

Illustrative example · fictional products

This is a product walkthrough, not a customer case study. The items and quantities are fictional. It reports no customer results, time savings or sales. The interactive tour simulates the buyer journey without sending a request or email or creating an order.

For your own catalog, prepare a supported Excel or CSV file, map its columns and review the import. This table explains the example; the tour does not upload or import a file.

2. Find A-104 in the product tour

Open the interactive example, enter A-104 in the article search and find the bearing. Choose a quantity of 2 and add it to the list. The tour accepts whole-piece quantities from 1 to 999; your real products can have different configured rules.

3. Add B-208 and review the list

Find B-208, choose 5 and add it. Review the two lines: A-104 × 2 and B-208 × 5. Adding the same article again updates its line instead of creating a second line. You can edit quantities or remove a line before proceeding.

4. Run the local simulation

Continue to review and run the simulation. The tour shows the next stage of the buyer journey. It sends no request or email and creates no order. Refreshing the page clears the example list.

How the real workflow differs

In a configured company catalog, a permitted buyer submits a stored request for an authorized manager to review. Real publication, access, product rules and commercial review are separate from this tour. No stock reservation, goods payment or ERP delivery is implied by submitting a Simple Catalog request.
